This weekend, former senior KLA superiors Rrustem Mustafa and Sami Lushtaku will be travelling to The Hague, who will be questioned by special prosecutors next Monday. Early next week, it will travel to the Dutch town of Sabaydin Cena, former homeman from the Posttric Operative Zone. However, the first charges, according to lawyer Tome Gashi, will be set up next week.
Lawyer Tome Gashi has said that the current guests from the Special Court most of them have been invited to the quality of suspects, even according to Gashi very soon the first acts by this justice institution will be established.
No one from the Special Court has been invited to the quality of the accused, because we still have no first charges filed, but most of them are invited to the quality of the suspects. It is now known that there is a team of prosecutors, and not only one, and certainly they will ask for clarification of the first guests, they will question whether they agree to speak, and in the next week, the establishment of pre-” charges is expected, he said, for Gazeta “Zri”.
Gashi estimates that the Specialised Prosecutor's Office has already collected the necessary information, and within weeks it will establish the first charges.
The Special Prosecutor's Office has the right to rule under the law, initially questioning suspected persons and gathering evidence, but prosecutors have investigated the case since the beginning of 2011 and actually the first report was released in 2014. So for seven years prosecutors have collected possible evidence and are simply giving suspects the opportunity to issue statements in their defense. The charges are ready, but not raised”, Gashi said.
He says that at this stage, guests from the Court will only provide clarifications for the data the prosecutor has already found.
So far we don't have a suspect, we don't have a subject that was sent to the Court to proceed, but very soon this will happen. This may be a phase where guests will only provide clarifications to what prosecutors already have in their drawers, which is right that each one is given the opportunity to clarify the claims of their involvement in criminal acts suspected of”, he noted.
