Doctors demand that physical attacks on them receive sentences of up to 10 years in prison

The Kosovo Medical Oda has reacted to the conditioned punishment of a doctor's attacker, saying judicial practice once again is testifying indisputing in terms of combating serious forms of criminality, including the punishment of acts of physical violence against doctors in the workplace.

The Kosovo Medical Oda says that criminal acts that constitute physical assault on the doctor in the workplace should qualify as a sanctioned and sanctioned criminal act, providing sentence of up to 10 years in effective prison for the worst qualifying form for this criminal act.

The OPC will be fully committed to sensationalising the opinion and public institutions of the Republic of Kosovo, for the need of serious treatment regarding the safety of doctors at their workplace and protecting the professional dignity of the doctor in the society.

Otherwise, the Foundation Court in Pec long ago sentenced a person on parole after attacking a doctor at his workplace. /Periscopi
