Dialogue team awaits U.S.

The state delegation for dialogue with Serbia, led by Deputy Prime Minister Fatmir Limaj and Social Democrat Party Chairman Shpend Ahmeti, is expected to travel to the United States of America (SHBA) before the final agreement with Serbia.

That is how the sources of the newspaper “Voice” reveal, under which the date of the trip to Washington, which is expected to be held with senior American officials.

While political analysts have told “Zit” that at this meeting it will become clear to the team for dialogue the US position on the final agreement. It is estimated that if American officials come up in support of the idea of mending the borders between Kosovo and Serbia, then even the state team, which is currently against this idea, will become known.

Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Enver Hoxhaj, who is also part of the state delegation for dialogue, has told the newspaper “Voice” that such a meeting has not been requested by the team for dialogue.

However, he has said that the final agreement with Serbia cannot be made without US support. Hoxhaj has yet to say it is early to talk about the team meeting for dialogue with American officials.

We have not made any requests for a visit to Washington. But I believe there will be more frequent meetings in Brussels in the coming weeks. And of course, the final deal is final when it has the stamp and the American support. But when it gets cold in Washington I can't say anything once, it's pretty early”, Hoxhaj said.
