He served as Albanian Armed Forces Chief of General Staff, is known as the last communist-era Defence Minister in Albania, and was a member of the Political Bureau.
In 1974, Mustaqi was elected for the first time as representative in the People's Assembly as part of the eighth legal mandate until the 12th legislature in 1992.
At the 9th Congress of the Communist Party in November 1986, he was elected candidate of the Albanian Labour Party Political Bureau and was eventually promoted to office in July 1990 as a member of the Political Bureau, where he remained until June 1991.
The coffin with the body will be forwarded today to the last residence in Tuphin's cemetery. In the meantime, the launch will take place at 1: 00 p.m. on the “Monastery Congress”.
