The Independent Trade Union of Kosovo, through a communiqué for the media, has expressed concerns that have caused Customs Unionists, the Bill of the Law of Pays, which, according to current projections of the pre-paid payment coffients in its No.1 Addition, as well as other provisions, is not eliminating emergency practices and is not seen to ensure a homogen of the pay issue in the entire public sector.
Kosovo Customs's (KX) Independent Environment requires the Government of Kosovo, parliamentary commissions and deputies of the Kosovo Assembly to take immediate measures to increase the payment co-fficiency in the Professor Law for Customs Workers, as are envisioned for other positions in the public service of institutions with a similar working nature. The Independent Trade Union of Kosovo considers that such a legitimate requirement should be taken into account, given the fact that Customs' contribution is vital to the country, where in addition to collecting revenues for the state budget (over 70% of the budget collected by Dogan), Dogana plays a very important role in the country's security by combating and preventing illegal acts that violate the country's security and society in general”, the statement said.
So, according to this union, the differences created between pay cofficients for the same or rough positions of work within the public sector have caused a major disappointment of workers, who are feeling discriminated against and ignored.
Therefore, the SPDK calls for the addressable issue to be resolved as soon as possible on the contrary “will be forced to take other union actions for the realisation of workers' demands by relying on the rights given to the Law on Union Organisation”.
