With a court ruling officially handed down a few days ago, Las Vegas police sent a letter to colleagues from the Italian city of Turin seeking a DNA sample of football player Cristiano Ronaldo for the alleged rape.
The move against a prominent player is still valid, as Kathryn Mayorga decided to reopen procedures before the court. Although the Portuguese admitted to having intimate relations with Catherine, he has said several times that speculation about alleged rape is groundless and that Kathryn wants to steal money from him, Kosovo Press broadcasts. Ronaldo's lawyer, Peter Christiansen, confirmed that Italian police received a request from American colleagues and that this was a standard procedure.
Mayorga filed an indictment against Ronaldo for alleged rape in 2010, while verbally agreeing to withdraw it in exchange for 375 thousand dollars. The noted football lawyer has confirmed that the agreement between the two sides has been made, but, according to him, does not mean Ronaldo is guilty. Kathryn, after several years of silence, however, decided to raise this issue again to the address of members of the group “MeToo” that for a long time fight against sexual violence and women abuse. /Kosovo priss
