Kosovo's Parents' Council, through a communique for media, has reacted after recent warnings by SBASK to strike in education
The United Trade Union of Education, Science and Culture of Kosovo (SBASHK) has given the publication to the Government until next Friday to take concrete action in order to raise 30 per cent teaching cofficients in the draft wage bill.
On the contrary, there will be “blockades throughout the educational system”.
And in all of this situation, the Parents' Council estimates that the greatest “victim is students”
The Council of the Parents of Kosovo is concerned about the SBASK strike's warning that it will begin on January 14th, 2019, where missing students will still be victimised. The Kosovo Parents' Council calls on the Government of Kosovo to freeze the wage coefyters for teaching, doctors and civil servants of Kosovo who are presenting themselves to the Law for Public Officers' salary, because everyone deserves a more dignified salary so that a social peace in Kosovo, which is currently lacking as long as”, is said in the media communique of the Kosovo Parents' Council.
In this communiqué, the KPK considers that SBASK's leadership is being extremely irresponsible and immature “since it is excluding social dialogue as a tool and as democratic value to settle disputes and is instead using the strike as the last tool and is always being unbearable, giving the government no time to work towards reaching a” agreement.
In the end, parents have invited SBASK to give up the strike and learn to start as planned
