Four international companies are interested in privatising Kosovo Telecom, despite not having an open process for the sale of this company.

The request for privatisation of Telekom these companies have submitted to the Ministry of Economic Development.

“So far interest in the privatisation of Telekom has expressed several international companies, such as: A1 Telekom Austria, Orange, Rockaway Capital of the PFF Group and Artier One”, the ministry's responses are said.

MZHE has explained that some preconditions must be met first before Telekom is sold.

“Restructuring the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development assistance company, with which the Government of Kosovo will work closely to prepare this privatisation process”, the MZHE response reported.

In the ministry, they have said that all companies will have equal access to the privatisation process of Telekom.

The most vocal company in the race to buy Kosovo Telecom has been the Artellery One company, whose owner is Daniel Peter Cannon. Prime Minister Haradinaj has received the heads of this company at the meeting just one day before the Kosovo government decides to sell Kosovo Telecom.

Sentton Kachanic, representative of the company “Artierry One”, has told KALLXO.com that they have requested access to Telekom's financial data in order to assess the value of this company.

According to Kachanic, the company has been interested in buying up to 75 %s of Telekom shares, through any procedure that MZE and Government would suggest.

In the wake of this process of édue disligence, we could continue further with a specific offer for the purchase of 75% of Kosovo Telekom's shares through any procedure that the MZHE was expected to suggest, so we have the dogs open either to apply for strategic investor status, or through any procedure that the Government of Kosovo would long define by”, Kacanik has declared.

On the other hand, the Ministry of Economic Development, for KALLXO. COM, it has said, had asked for exclusiveness in the privatisation and commercialisation process.

“The subject in question (Artiery One) has sent to the Ministry of Economic Development an expression of interest to undertake an analysis of financial activity, organisational and capital structure, as well as economic assets and those of the intellectual ownership of this company. Among other things in expressing the same interest have required exclusiveness during the analysis phase and absolute priority in each process of privatisation or commercialisation of the company in question”, they say in their response.

According to the MZHE, Telekom at this stage is not open to privatisation or commercialisation. According to the MZHE, the request by Artierry Oneʹ violates the legal basis as values of free market economy and competition.

Following the Kosovo government's decision to privatise Telekom, the company's director “Artierry One” for Kosovo, Senton Kacanik says they remain interested in privatising Kosovo Telecom. Continued interest in this company, he has linked the meeting that company representatives have had with Prime Minister Haradinaj.

Earlier, Arteller One had declared that he backed out of interest in the privatisation of Telekom with the reasoning that they have not received answers from the Ministry of Economic Development. /Cashho. com
