High Commander Killed I SIS in Afghanistan

A senior commander of the state militants group Islam (ISIS) is reportedly killed on January 10th.

A spokesman for the Afghan-based American Forces, Lt. Ubon Mendie, said Emir Khetab was killed during a raid on the eastern area of Nangarhar province.

“Displacement of Khetab helps protect the Afghans innocent from the violence of Islamic State in the future and weaken their presence in Nangarhar”, Mendie said.

Islamic State fighters have developed a castle in the province on Afghanistan's eastern border with Pakistan and have become one of the country's most dangerous militant groups. /AM
