Bytyqi buckets ask SBASK to stop strike

Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Fatmir Limaj, along with Minister of Education, Science and Technology Shyqi Bytyqi, have hosted today representatives from the United Education, Science and Culture Union of the Republic of Kosovo (SBASHK), led by its chairman, Nundman Jasharaj. At this meeting it has been discussed about the strike started in education.
Deputy Prime Minister Limaj has been announced by SBASK representatives for the current situation about the education strike, which Jasharaj said has been an extremely difficult decision for SBASK, but, according to Jasarwar, they have had no other option, since their demands for establishing cofficiency for employees in the education sector have not been met.

Deputy Prime Minister Limaj announced the SBASK that he personally, but the government is also very seriously addressing the issue of dealing with the education sector in the draft wage bill, a government report suggests.

“Limaj expressed his full readiness that he would be committed further to co-operate with relevant government institutions, but also with parliamentary commissions and groups to find an affordable solution to Kosovo's state budgetary opportunities, but also to treat all employees in the education sector with dignity, and not only”, the report stresses.

According to the announcement, Limaj stressed that he understands the situation about the strike, but because the damage to the learning process is damage to the future of our country, he said he expects the SBASK to reflect, so that this issue can be resolved through dialogue and institutional ways, in which he believes the most.

Even Minister of Education, Science and Technology Shyqi, at this meeting, has talked about the situation that was created, where he reiterated that they oppose the strike for how it harms the education process and brings major consequences to our students, who are not at all guilty of the situation.

Bytyqi stressed that August has engaged a lot about this issue, even in co-operation with the SBASK, where he singled out the STAT request to the Ministry of Administration for the establishment of co-efficiency for all employees in the education sector in the wage bill, where there has been a slight increase in the community but not as good as employees in education, the report stresses. /Periscopi
