It will take another few days after the New Year's holiday, for European and American diplomacy to deal with Kosovo.
But Washington is interested in long-term solutions.
According to the Beta news agency, the administration of President Trump is working on reaching a long-term solution, which includes demarcation of the border between Kosovo and Serbia, KTV reports.
On this topic, Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq will speak with Russian President Vladimir Putin on January 17th in Belgrade.
But the problem lies in the fact that the European Union has no idea what this demarcation of the border would look like and how it would be accepted.
While considered to be having a major pause in negotiations, the EU has not given up dialogue and will host the newly formed Pristina team at the meeting next week.
According to sources in Brussels, the European Union believes that Belgrade's frustrations and the ongoing insistence on dialogue will be overcome because of the establishment of the military, opening the border with Albania, and continuing the tax on Serbian goods.
And Washington's reaction is looking forward to Serbian Prime Minister Anna Brnabiq. She has said in an interview in Belgrade that Pristina's movement to impose taxes on foreign products being produced in Serbia as: Coca Cola, I need to stir up Washington's reaction.
