Bahtiri's statement alarms SBASKU: Apologise or sue

Mitrovica municipality Chairman Agim Bahtiri has called on teachers to review the form of their demand for salary increases so that they end the strike and go to work from Monday on the contrary, according to him, the Mitrovica municipality will seek voluntary staff for them [...]

Bahtiri, today through a post on the social network Facebook, has said that “s are all witnesses that even during the times of occupation and violent measures by the Serbian conqueror schools have worked, so learning must continue.

However, Bahtir's statement has exasperated teachers and prompted the response of the SBASK chairman, who has warned the indictment against Mitrovica municipality leader.

SBASK's chairman, Nundman Jasharaj, in a pronomination for Telegrafi, has said their Legal Office is seeing the possibility of raising a lawsuit against President Bahtiri if he does not apologize and withdraw this statement he has made.

He said they are initially proving whether this statement was made by Chairman Bahtiri himself.

“The SSK, it's working on his statement. First we're dealing with the veracity of the declaration. I tell you at first that this statement has irritated all teachers in Kosovo, as well as in Mitrovica. I remind President Bahtiri that he was not here before the war, where teachers have faced various threats from the occupation at the time, and under that pressure they have been teaching”, Jasharaj said, about Telegrafi.

I wish the other mayors wouldn't make such statements. Bahtiri, along with the other chiefs, must be engaged to support the teachers. The teachers have someone to protect. Mayor Bahtiri will face trial Monday. It is best for him to withdraw from this statement, otherwise our office will file charges against him at the” Court, Jashari has said, adding that women cannot end with such pressures.
