Mitrovica Mayor Agim Bahtiri has called on teachers of this municipality to start the teaching process following the Government's decision to raise salaries.
He said that there is no reason why the lesson will not start tomorrow and that children cannot leave the streets.
Bahtiri said this increase that Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj offers is the maximum government has had.
His full post:
Dear teachers of the Mitrovica municipality,
Following today's decision by the Government of Kosovo for salary increases, it is once again called for the learning process to resume tomorrow.
I would like wages to grow even more, but this increase that happened today is the maximum our government has ever had.
There's no reason for me to stop starting tomorrow because we can't leave kids on the street without an address!
