Violence and protests have invaded Athens last night as debates continue within the building on the adoption of the Prespa Agreement.
A group of about 100 people threw stones and fireworks against police forces, which responded with explosive grenades and tear gas. Police used rubber sticks and tear gas to disperse the crowd. It's reported on several people injured and several arrested.
The opposition accuses the government of national treason. While Prime Minister Tsipras accuses the opposition of inciting extremist groups to threaten majority MPs by putting pressure on them outside the residences. Greek media report that extremists have damaged the homes of 3 SYRIZA party deputies.
Greece's Assembly cancelled the Prespa Agreement vote yesterday. Voting expected to take place at 2:30 today
From the Greek Assembly Speaker's cabinet, they say this decision came as a result of the large number of MPs seeking to take the word before the vote is held.
There were many during yesterday's debate “pro” and “vs” between Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras's government and the opposition led by Kyriakos Mitcotakis.
