In the sound of “Macedonia echoing”, thousands of Greeks have begun arriving in “Square Sigma”

They bear flags and throw slogans against the “Prespa Agreement”, which the previous day was deposited in Parliament and, from Monday, will begin discussions that will pave the way for approval or rejection.

And while the government and its allies are making estimates to find the right votes, the opposition says the agreement should not be ratified and that the country must go to early elections.

Sunday's protest will be welcomed by renowned Greek art and music characters, as well as Mikis Theodhorakis, the 95-year-old Greek revolutionary musician who strongly opposes the deal.

Protesters from around the country are expected to take part, and more than 3,000 buses have been rented for that purpose.

The protest will also join the vocalopiriot organisation, while the parents of Constantinople Kacifa, executed on October 28th in the Gjirokastra Bularat during a gunfight with Albanian police, announced they will be found in “Square. Sigma” with his son's flag, which they call helenism hero.

At the same time, when nationalist and extreme right groupings will hold their protest in “Sindagma”, just a few meters away, will be the pro- agreement groupings, which will also protest. Mostly they are anarchist and communist groups, which have voiced consent to an agreement with the northern neighbour.

Police have made more than 2,000 police officers available, fearfulness, helicopters and pressure water station, as well as calling for peaceful protests.
