Kurti made these comments at the meeting of the General Council of Vetevendosje, where she said that citizens' problems, such as snow, cold and power cuts, are coming as a result of poor governance.

“E knows that the government intends to deal with these issues that seem small to them, I know that the lack of electricity in other municipalities does not appear so often in the media that the power cuts in Pristina would emerge, but however, all parts of Kosovo are equal and we should worry about such problems caused by this governance. It was exactly the thinking and ideology of privatisation that brought these problems to large parts of the territory and the population was left without electricity, because the private company that needs to invest in the distribution network is not doing so, but only revenue and profits that take them abroad”, Kurti said.

He has also said that the ruling parties and private businesses are stealing the public company Telekom of Kosovo.

Kurti said government officials are living in luxury through privatisation, and on the other hand, according to him, the citizens' economic situation is getting worse.

“Now they are trying to privatise Kosovo Telecom, a company that constantly comes in profit if it is not being stolen by the ruling parties of harmful contracts, such as the one with Zmobile, which the party has filled with workers beyond the Kosovo Telekom need, only to secure votes from citizens and to accommodate their militants”, Kurti has declared.

According to him, the Kosovo Savings Fund lost 85m euros last year. Even for this loss, he blamed the government until he added that with those funds, the salaries of teachers and doctors could be doubled.

He also spoke of the strike that teachers and doctors have recently started. According to Kurti, strikes are coming as a result of poverty in the country.

Our poverty is turning into strikes, because neither teachers nor doctors nor anyone can bear that the government increases its wages which are not working, but it does not increase those who really work... when the government leads the Vetevendosje Movement, we will see that the inequality between them and the government is greatly reduced and that the social status of teachers and doctors is much better than today<1>, Kurti has promised.

Kurti has also expressed optimism that soon Vetevendosje will be the first party.

In the end, he pledged that with the arrival of this ruling party, injustice will be fought, inequality reduced, production economy developed, and health and education improved.

Otherwise, this is the first meeting of the Vetevendosje General Council for 2019.
