Albanian known as England's refugee traffic goes off

The head of a network of immigrant trafficking to Great Britain has been extradited to Belgium to pay off the 10-year prison sentence and 720 thousand euros in fines. Albanian Alket Dauti was arrested in an action held at his apartment in southern London in June 2018. His arrest [...]
His arrest was part of a joint British-Blag investigation, while he led a group that sent men, women and children in trucks from Belgium to Britain towards payment.
The gang used corrupt truck drivers to pick up immigrants in Belgium who took them into the United Kingdom through various ports.
The gang allegedly trafficked Albanians, who paid large amounts of money to stay at hotels in Belgium before going to Britain.
Under our close work with Belgium's Federal Police and Prosecutors we have hit an important organised crime group involved in bringing migrants to Britain illegally. David was the leader of that group. He treated the desperate immigrants as a means of making money. He had not taken into account that their lives were threatened as they traveled to the back of the trucks. He has been sentenced by a Belgian court and we have extradited him there to carry out his” sentence - the prosecutor has said he led the investigation into Britain.
