Accidents - 85 people lost their lives in 2018

In July of this year, five members of the Sadiki family, from Sopia in Suhareka, have lost their lives in a traffic accident.

This same year, four members of the Shala family lost their lives as a result of the accident. In addition to these two serious cases, the streets of Kosovo in 2018 took the lives of more than 85 people.

Although the year 2017 compared with the slight decline in accidents, a total of 14,000 and 393 accidents have occurred according to police statistics in Kosovo's territory within this period of the year.

The leading cause of such accidents is emerging as a human factor and not to adapt to the rules of communication.

Lekaj said that with the aim of better road management, he has signed agreements with Hungarians.

But experts say that the human factor is also emerging as a major cause of accidents in our country.

Visar Bajzak, a road communications engineer, says that in order to reduce accidents in the country, responsible institutions must seriously deal with the state of actions and inactions leading to accidents.

Wrong practices have considered imitating methods of preventing accidents from other countries, since they differ depending on the management.
