Today it is 20 years since Serbian police and military forces committed one of the most painful massacres against humanity in Recak.
In commemoration of the anniversary of this massacre, under the auspices of the president of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, from 09 o'clock to 10:30 hours, will be homazhe at the Recak Memorial Complex, while then “Peace Poves on Recak will be held, and from 11:00 p.m., the Memorial Academy will be held at “the House of Culture” in Shpee.
On January 15, 1999, on this fateful day, 45 unarmed Albanians were murdered and slaughtered in Recak.
