Four workers fall from an altitude of 8m in Ferizaj

Police suggest the case occurred on the “Recep Bislimi” street in Ferizaj.

All four workers, once on land have suffered bodily injuries. The injured have been sent for needed medical treatment, and the case, as police say, is being investigated.

Last Sunday, Koha Ditore has reported that increasing cases of deaths and injuries to workers at the workplace have not mobilised institutions responsible for taking any precautions and more strict oversight of the implementation of the Labour Law and the Law on Health and Safety at Work.

Respecting the rights of workers has been left by authorities to the will of employers.

The role of the labour Inspectorate ? The institution that carries responsibility for ensuring that laws related to work are almost insignificant in avoiding risk factors that endanger safety and health at work.

Private sector workers are the most vulnerable. They mostly feel the consequences of violations of laws that regulate working conditions.
