The Kosovo Women's Network has reacted after posting LDK member Lutfi Haziri on Facebook has addressed his party, Vjosa Osmani “use of Presevo”. RRGK has said the woman's role continues to be underestimated by politicians.
Through a response, the Kosovo Women's Network has expressed its attitude towards LDKA member, at the same time the mayor of the Gjilan municipality, Lutfi Haziri, after the same in a Facebook post had called Vjosa Osmanin “nus of Presevo”.
S. The GK, it has written, shows the beliefs and attitudes that Kosovo men, especially those in a decision-making position, have confronted their female colleagues.
“For the Kosovo Women Network ( RGK, reducing the role of women in that of “minus” again shows about the beliefs and attitudes that Kosovo men -- especially men in decision-making positions -- have faced their female colleagues”, writes in response.
The Women's Network says this language is humiliating and sexist, not only in Kosovo but worldwide. By making such a statement, Haziri according to RGKA is underestimating women's ability to lead, thus creating a suitable environment for spreading gender discrimination.
“S. The GK urged all men in politics to use worthy language in public discourse and to debate based on facts and valid political arguments, not to use sexist languages, in cases where they have disagreements with their female colleagues”, RGK notes.
In response, the Kosovo Women's Network stresses that every person engaged in politics doing must be an example of respect and promotion of gender equality and that sexist language has no place in public debate.
