At the Government meeting, Security Force Minister Rrustem Berisha proposed changing three laws for KSF. Parliament Speaker Kadri Veselin in Rubik's KTV has said Prime Minister Haradinaj has been co-ordinating with international partners, including the United States of America.

Wessel has said he expects the KSF transformation to take place within this year. According to the bill, which has actually been drafted since 2014, The KSF will increase its number from the current 2,500 to 5 thousand, and will be responsible for maintaining its territory, integrity and sovereignty.
Otherwise, the US Embassy through a statement has said that Kosovo authorities have not consulted the decision to adopt the package of bills to transform KSF.
