According to him, visa liberalisation is a well-deserved step for the citizens of Kosovo, and in the coming months, he pledged that citizens would work to move freely within this year.
“We are Western, we are European, we will continue our journey safely towards the European Union. I am sure that this European Parliament decision today will also follow the final decision of the Council of Ministers that in the next month, we have made a definite decision for our citizens to move freely within this year, and this is also a stance on what the Parliament of the Republic of Kosovo, along with all parliamentary groups, we have lobbied on what I thank all parliamentary colleagues -- ” -- Veselin said.
The head of the Parliament confirmed that without national consensus the issue of free movement could not have been carried out, so he demanded that they join the final phase of dialogue with Serbia.
There's a lot of work to do, we'll walk together... Today this decision on visa liberalisation would not be possible without having common national consensus, without working together, without carrying out the issue of demarcation we should be very aware of that fact, in the same form we should be united also in the process related to visa liberalisation, as well as in the final phase of the” dialogue, Wessel said.
