Wessel: There will be no division, I invite parties not to talk about it

The head of the Parliament, Kadri Veselin, has made these comments during a table of discussion held today in the town of Mitrovica, where he has also promised there would never be a division of this city.

Wessel has said that for the first time opposition parties in the country's top institution question Kosovo's territorial integrity. Therefore, he has called on opposition parties not to discuss partition, but only to join the Presevo Valley.

But it is also manipulative because if we've come in a day for Kosovo's territorial integrity to be protected by a resolution, when it comes to the Presevo, the national union, then it's very manipulating and not sincere on the part of the opposition. I ask you and all Albanians, who has mostly spoken against the constitution of the country and the state of Kosovo for manipulative effects, populations rather than this opposition that has now initiated parliamentary debate, allegedly preserving Kosovo's independent and sovereign state”, has said Wessel.

Wessel has said that false causes do not protect the State; rather, they endanger the state. He said the state is always protected by respecting the constitution and putting the state's interest ahead of party interests.

From his homeland, the head of the Kosovo Assembly has called on opposition political parties Tuesday not to talk about divisions, but to talk about union, the common platform of confrontation with Serbia.

“We don't fear dialogue with Serbia, we don't fear Serbia, we'll get even better off this process if we are united, if we keep our international partners and if we know and are committed to this process. I call opposition party colleagues in their rationality. The Vetevendosje movement must stop destroying our state with denial of the state, with manipulations of the national union's sacred cause, that national unity is not achieved by ending the state of Kosovo... I'd invited the LDK to distance itself from those signatures, not to talk Tuesday about partitions, not to enter the VV's Avaz. Otherwise, if it does not move from those attitudes Tuesday, the first attitude of The PDK will be that the LDK will be the first step which is actual for Kosovo, which is at national expense, is to distance itself from the agreement it has signed for association with executive competence. This is actually the first national danger that Kosovo currently has, is the association with executive competencies, which means the third power and means the demining of Kosovo, then the split”, has declared Wessel.

Wessel said that if something should be discussed Tuesday, it is for the LDK to distance itself from this signature he made in Brussels.

While, he has said that association with executive competencies is unacceptable, he even added that it is more dangerous than sharing itself.

The executive competency “Association will be unacceptable, so to be sure even because it is more dangerous than the separation itself. Currently the actual element which the Republic of Kosovo has is only association with executive competencies, this is what should be avoided as a danger. It is neither separation nor conversation with Presevo”, Veselin said.

The first of the Assembly has guaranteed its fellow citizens that Mitrovica will never be divided, he even said without Mitrovica there is no Kosovo.

However, rumours that Mitrovica will be divided have called the voices of circles that do not want good for Mitrovica and Kosovo, pro-Russian and pro-Serbian voices.

These voices are people in circles who don't want the best for both Mitrovica and Kosovo. They don't know Mitrovica, they don't love Mitrovica, or so much they know and they want only for their limited interests, not in the interest of Mitrovica or the Mitrovicas. It's voices that panic in citizens and thus serve bad targets against Kosovo. There are pro-Russian voices, there are pro-Serbian voices full of patriotism that will not succeed and stop with any form. These hostile voices have to face our full resolve, Mitrovica will never, but will never be affected. Mitrovica has been and forever will remain the heart and pride of Kosovo, without Mitrovica there is no Kosovo, and there will be no Kosovo without Mitrovica”, Veselin indicated.

The table continued with statements of local representatives and analysts, until Wessel added that he is convinced that they are shouting about Patrotism and pointing at betrayers, no one like themselves is like cheating.

Wessel also spoke of the draft PDK platform, ordering that the state should be protected by actions rather than words, trying to destroy and intimidate its people.
