Regarding the visits of international delegations or personalities to Kosovo, including Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq's two-day visit, the Kosovo Police as the law enforcement institution, all its planning and operational actions, says it has undertaken the constitutional authorisation and decision of the RKS state institutions to ensure security for all.
“In terms of the Serbian president's allowed visit to our country, Kosovo Police through operational planning have undertaken the necessary police measures for maintaining order and public safety in the country, as well as conveying the escort and providing security to delegation”, the police community said.
Reference to this visit, it is said further, today in the early hours of the morning Kosovo Police have accepted some information about the gatherings of some citizens and the roadblocks of the Drenica region to protest the Serbian president's visit to this region.
Kosovo's “Police have taken all operational actions to maintain overall order and security, while the situation has been calm and not reported on any incidents. As for some reports in Serbian media reportedly heard gunshots in this region, Kosovo police do not possess any information about the shooting and currently cannot confirm the news as such, which refers to this location and person presented to these media as suspects. Kosovo police will work with relevant police units in verifying this”, it says further.
