Today, within the framework of the Council of the European Union, the Working Group for Visa (COWEB) is expected to meet, where it will be discussed about visa liberalisation for Kosovo, making the process of abolishing Kosovo's visa regime go towards completion.
If this working group gives consent to abolishing visas, the proposal goes to the COREPER level, in which it is discussed by ambassadors of EU member states, writes “Zer”.
Meanwhile, the final decision is taken by the Council of Interior and Justice Ministers.
Optimists that the visa liberalisation process is coming to an end have been expressed by representatives of the ruling coalition, who, to the newspaper “Voice”, have said this process is now a matter of months.
Meanwhile, according to European integration connoisseurs the visa waivers decision will occur by the end of the year if there is no political interference with the Council of Ministers.
