Trump said through a Twitter post that a General Inspector of this department should review the documents.
If you need me at the end (after review) you can publish your documents”, Trump said on Twitter.
Representatives of the Justice Department have not responded to requests for comment.
Trump has called for publishing documents Monday, prompting criticism from the Democrats and other parties that he and his allies are politicising investigations to protect the White House before holding the Congress elections in November.
Trump has rejected co-operation with Russia, and Moscow has done the same despite US intelligence agencies have said Russia is involved in the US election process.
