Senator McCain died last Saturday after losing his battle with cancer until he had demanded that the president not attend his funeral.
Two former Presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush attended the ceremony and praised McCann's figure.
Although Trump was not invited to the ceremony there were no members of his administration, including his daughter Ivanka Trump and groom Jared Kouchner.
