Even though until a few days ago on the university website “Bodhisastra” in Thailand found lists with the price of titles given there, eventually this list has been removed. On August 27th, the newspaper reported that the “Doctor Honoris Causa” awarding the first Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Behgjet Pacolli at the University “Bodissastre”, costs $8000, writes Koha Ditore today.
That the price can be bought with money was accepted by the two vice-rectors of this university, Natthagarn P. Drairwitt and Sak Prasandee. But both had denied that Pacolli paid for the title “Doctor Honoris Causa”.
According to the list on the University website, a copy of which the newspaper has saved, a high degree costs $2 thousand, associate diploma 2,500, $55,000 diploma, master's $6 thousand diploma, doctor's degree $7,000, while an honorary degree or “HOris Caussa” $8 000.
