Thaci in Macedonia shows who will benefit from agreement in Brussels

The entire Western Balkans has stepped up efforts to strengthen peace, stability and Euro-Atlantic perspective.

Even today, at meetings with institutional and political leaders in Macedonia, we talked about the common European future. Kosovo and Macedonia are making important steps of co-operation in the interest of our countries and peoples. The Skopje highway Pristina is heading towards completion in the part of Kosovo, while soon they are expected to start works even from the border in Skopje.

As institutional and political leaders, we are obliged to work harder for the country than for populist or electoral moments, so I encouraged the leadership in Macedonia to make the right decision about the agreement with Greece. I also received support for the dialogue process for normalising relations between Kosovo and Serbia, and assured them that any agreement we reach in Brussels will be in the interest of our countries and the entire region.

On behalf of the Republic of Kosovo, as a neighbouring country with Macedonia, I invited all citizens of Macedonia to vote in favour of the referendum and contribute to the European future. The future of Kosovo, Macedonia and our entire region is in NATO and the European Union. HTH
