In today's vote in the Swedish Parliament, 204 MPs voted against Prime Minister Lofven, meanwhile 142 voted to continue to rule with the country. Even his party's deputies, the Social Democrats, have voted in favour of the no-confidence motion.

Lofven is expected to remain as prime minister in the resignation until it is decided who will replace him in the post.
Lofven, leader of the centre-left Social Democrats, came to power in 2014. His party has won 144 seats in parliament in last month's elections, only one seat more than the centre-right opposition party.
