Nearly 3,000 people lost their lives when aircraft taken hostage by terrorists diverted routes and slammed into twin trade towers, the Pentagon, and the area near Shanksville, Pennsylvania, on September 11, 2001, involving America in a new conscious state of global terrorism.
Thousands, among which relatives of the victims of the attacks of “11 September”, survivors, rescue workers and others, are expected to gather in the area of the former World Trade Center to remember the deadliest terrorist attack on American soil.
