Selimi's lawyer, Tome Gashi, demanding Sylejman Selimi's release, has said he is being held unjustly and politically.
Gashi has said that Sylejman Selimi and Jahir Demak are being held for more than five years in custody or, as it says, in the suffering of the condemnation of in-existence, because they have been illegally sentenced, without any credit evidence and only to fulfill someone's will, and that this one has been the chief judge of EULEX.
Association of Witness Families Chairman Xhavit Jashari has sought the release of former KLA commander Sylejman Selimi and others, as he said they were contributing to Kosovo's freedom and independence.
While Selim's associate and protest organiser Arton Hoti said that Selimi is currently being held in prison without any rights.
Sylejman Selimi's wife, Kimete Selimi, has also sought his release. She said that they have been facing injustice for over five years, and this is being seriously experienced by their children.
Part of this protest was former Skywright Mayor Sami Lushtaku, who stressed that Sylejman Selimi is not a prisoner but a kidnapped man.
And we're going to have to do it.
Protesters have been scattered quietly, and organisers warned protests in the future as far as the release of “Drenica” Groups from prison.
