Two Russian agents suspected of attempting cyber intervention in a Swiss laboratory dealing with the” case. Scribal”, were arrested in the Netherlands and sent to Russia in the spring, media and official sources reported today.
The two men were arrested at The Hague by Dutch secret military service (MIVD), according to the Dutch daily The NRC, which has launched an investigation into co-operation with the Swiss newspaper” Tags-Anzeeger”.
According to the NRC, two Russian service agents owned equipment to access the lab information network” Spiez”, the Swiss Institute for Protection From atomic, biological and chemical threats and dangers.
Positioned in the Bern Canton, this lab was authorized by the Organisation for the Prevention of Chemical Weapons (OIAC) to analyze the champions taken in Salisbury, south of England, where former Russian agent Sergueï Scribal and his daughter were poisoned by nervous agent”Novico” in March.
