Rugova: Vetevendosje knows no peaceful protest, can't join

Democratic League of Kosovo deputy leader Haki Rugova rejects the Vetevendosje Movement's invitation together to organise protests against President Hashim Thaci's idea of restructuring the borders with Serbia. According to Rugova, the VV cannot even stage peaceful protests. He for Periscope has said the LDK as a party does not [...]

He for Periscope has said the LDK as a party does not see it as a solution to get on the street.

If Kosovo really comes into such a situation, there are other ways of solution. Anti-legal ways we don't prefer them. Even the protests are allowed, but you know quite well that they are involved in the violence and we are not interested in demonstrating violence in the streets of Pristina or all of Kosovo, Haki Rugova says of Periscope.

However, the LDK will make any decision after the chairmanship meeting, where it will also decide how to move away.

Listen, it's not a personal decision I can make. Such a decision is known by Headship along with Chairman Isa Mustafa, no one else. We as a party are basically not for protests and never have been. When we've been partying protests at the worst of times, they're picked, they're not even left. Even now it is not worth the party, and within institutions we try to solve problems, Rugova says.

The LDK chief has also commented on MP Vjosa Osmani's invitation to protests, which he says are only voices of individuals who do not represent the position of the Democratic League.

I know it wants public invitations that were made by individuals within our party, but they are voices of individuals and are not party positions. Rugova points out.

Periscope today has contacted the next LDK deputy chairman, Agim Veliun, who said getting out on the street is not the way to solve Kosovo's current problems.

) The LDK has not been collected with the disk of any invitation. I don't believe it because the LDK doesn't have the way to solve the leaders, it doesn't have the protest yet. Even for this problem that is for Kosovo, for these issues that are current today, I don't believe it's the solution to street protests, Veliu told Periscope.

He has added that any issues of such importance should be discussed within Kosovo institutions and not on the street.

) The LDK has not followed the course of protests almost never in relation to Kosovo's problems, which it needs to address as the opposition's position. Because the problems we think should be solved institutions, not on the street. And to be done in institutions, and for them Kosovo also has its own institutions condition where everyone has to do their job and I don't believe that any effect is done with protest. He thinks LDK deputy chairman.

We remember that the Kosovo Assembly has been trying to vote on Kosovo's partition for three days, but that's impossible because of lack of quorum.

Meanwhile, President Hashim Thaci is expected to meet with Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq in Brussels tomorrow. One of the topics of discussion is expected to be the correction of the borders between the two states/Periscope.
