This project, in addition to significantly improving the quality of the electricity supply for about 50 houses of this village, is also important for tourism development in this part of the country.
The project included various investments, such as the establishment of a metal troth, transformator, and the establishment of a subterranean cable that is about three miles [3.5 km] long.
Also, over 50 concrete pillars have been placed for low tension and another for medium tension.
Viktor Buzhala, ECDS spokesman, says this project is within the investment this company is doing throughout Kosovo.
This investment, according to him, provides more stable electricity supplies, helps develop tourism, while placing concrete pillars increases security for citizens.
KEDS is continuing to replace wooden pillars, since in many cases they are outdated and damaged.
So this is a multi-profit investment. KEDS will continue to work in service to improve electricity supply not only in the Pec region, but wherever necessary,” says Buzhala.
The distribution Network Development Plan is a master plan of KEDS that envisions investing 300m euros in Kosovo's electricity distribution network by 2025. Through this master plan KED learns to renew the electricity network and make it similar to the electrical networks of developed European countries.
