In this communiqué, signed by Commission Chairman Duda Balje says:
With the case of publishing the list of veterans suspected as fraud veterans, human rights, privacy rights, and presumption of innocence have been violated by public judgment through the media against veterans. Therefore, seeing that the process is still at the beginning of the examination by justice organs, we react with deep concern before public opinion.
The Commission for Human Rights, Gender Equality, for Missing Persons and Petitions, based on its scope, requires competent state institutions to find those responsible for publishing these lists and to take measures in line with the legislation in force”.
