Uncontrolled speed and inadequacy to weather conditions were estimated to be the main causes of accidents.
To prevent any of this phenomenon, Pristina chairman Shpend Ahmeti had announced days ago that security cameras will be placed on the streets of the capital.
Pristina municipality spokesman Adonis Tahiri has said he is now negotiating the project in question.
“It's an important pilot-project that allows us to address this long-term problem”, Tahiri stressed.
According to him, the cameras will be mobile until the project is covered by automatic penalties for countervasors.
“Cameras will be static and mobile so as to include as many roads as possible in the capital, and the cost of the project is covered by the very sentences that will be auto-automatic”, Tahiri for Indexline said further.
Mayor Ahmeti had said earlier that he supports politics that no car registration be allowed with unpaid sentences from last year.
