New Police Director Makes Sure KFOR Will Co-operate With Them

Kosovo Police General Director Rashit Qalaj has received KFOR General Salvatore Cuoci at the official meeting.

The Police Director announced KFOR general for commitments and goals towards fulfilling its legal duties and obligations, in the best of security and order in the Republic of Kosovo.

Kosovo's “Police have professional capacities and is prepared to provide security, fight organised crime, trans-border crime, as well as co-operate closely with all local and international relevant institutions, and as a result of the need for engagement, co-operation and incubation of the Kosovo Police in international mechanisms”, the police report said.

It was singled out that Kosovo Police have good co-operation with KFOR authorities, co-operation that has shown positive results in various areas, including successes in joint patrols, mainly at the border belt.

During the meeting, he pledged bilateral co-operation in the future, including the exchange of field experiences and training, with the aim of advancing further the two institutions, and having common goals in the security of the country and citizens.
