The opposition Thaci: You risk leaving us without visas by 2020

Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, with his return from the United States, has held a press conference to introduce orders saying they have given internationals there, Periscope reports. Thaci has said internationals have ordered that on the visa issue, the entire political class should be [...]
Thaci has said internationals have ordered that on the visa issue, the entire political class must be united so that confusion does not develop, as this process could then be delayed by 2020.
We are also pushing forward the visa liberalisation process. This will be a major achievement for Kosovo and citizens. There should be no difference between the government and the opposition on this issue. Our work has led 2/3 of the European Parliament to vote in favour. So we all work and enjoy visas. At the many meetings I've had in New York, we've got a clear message, all institutions indiscriminately (government, Presidency, Puplace) have to work, if we're united to meet visa criteria, if that doesn't happen, then the whole process can be delayed by 2020. If we have different opinions about political and daily interests then visas are endangered. We must come to any personal and party interest, no differences. Visa liberalisation has no political address, it is for all citizens. This process is in our hands. Let's not create any confusion in meeting with internationals on this issue. Nobody has the right to risk visas. It's time to be unique in this process”, Thaci said.
On the other hand, he has also spoken of Kosovo's membership efforts in Interpol, where he has said he has received support from many member states of this international organisation.
We're developing tight activity to join Interpol. Within the third week of November, the UN assembly will be held. It is the interest of Kosovo and its citizens. Kosovo's membership in Interpol increases the responsibility and efficiency of institutions in the fight against terrorism, corruption and illegal migration, so as president of the country, I invite all member states to support Kosovo's membership. I thank the representatives of the states we've met in New York, for the support we've been given for this process”, he said away./Periscopi
