For the third time, the competition for managership at the Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK) will be closed on September 10, 2018. In this race for director will also be KEK manager Nyazi Thaci's task manager.
Thaci has acknowledged that he will be in the race for KEK management director because he, he says he is part of this corporation since 2007 and meets all conditions to run this public enterprise.
I am part of KEK's management since 2007, and I am a participant in the decision taking from 2007 to today, which KEK has achieved a performance today. I have finished studying the Faculty of Electric Engineering at the Polytechnic Faculty in Tirana, five-year-old studies. I meet all the criteria given in the announced public competition and believe it will compete. I have clear all the goals KEK has to go in the future, and I believe I meet the criteria ahead. It remains the responsibility of the Board of Directors to decide who is best”, Thaci has said.
The reason the director's task leader is involved in this race, according to him, is good performance in KEK during his management and knowledge of the challenges of KEK.
Before KEK's manager was a task manager, since 2011 I am the operational director of KEK, meaning technical director, and I have seen all the challenges and goals KEK has been going into the future. I believe I meet all the criteria before... Normally it's a big responsibility, I understand the responsibilities and objectives that they are, but I have the capacity as intellectual, human and age that allows me to be challenged in the future”, he said.
Thaci in a conversation for Kosovas has added that his commitment every time has been to KEK to have good performance, which he says occurred in recent years.
“KEK has consistently performed extremely well, you have statistics since 1985, when first released “Kosovo B”. In 1985, when the blocks of Thermocentrals “Kosovo B” have been new, we have had 100 decreases unplanned, whereas today in 2018 there are currently 30 decreases unplanned”, Thaci said.
At the meeting of the KEK Steering Board, held on 31 May, KEK Director-General Arben Djukaj has resigned from his post and shortly after Djukaj's resignation, the Board had appointed KEK managing director Niazi Thaci's task fraud.
Following Arben Djukat's resignation, KEK has for the first time announced a competition for KEK Director Management on 5 April, while it has been re-declared on June 1st and for the third time the competition has opened on 9 August, which remains open until 10 September.
