Macron's statement comes after a meeting with Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz in Vienna today, while the two leaders are preparing for a special EU summit in the Austrian town of Salzburg at the weekend, over the issue of migration that has caused many divisions.
Macron and his centre government want to hit the so-called economic migrants who go to Europe to seek employment and prosperity, as well as improve conditions for asylum seekers and political refugees in France, according to the French news agency.
