Macedonia's President Gjorge Ivanov during the meeting with Macedonia's United Diaspora in Detroit, U.S.A., has indicated that I will not vote in the 30 September referendum.
“Two times I have gained the trust of citizens not to allow changes of the Constitution, with the goal of changing the constitutional name, I have gained confidence to reject ideas and suggestions that endanger national identity, the Macedonian nation's speciality, Macedonian language and Macedonia's model for coexistence. I do not give up my promise. Therefore, on September 30th, I will not go out for a vote, President Gjorge Ivanov ordered from Detroit”, the president's office announces.
Ivanov stressed that under Article 7, paragraph 3 for the referendum, no one can be called to take responsibility for the vote, either not to vote in the referendum. or not vote in a referendum.
Every citizen, Ivanov said, has the right to decide how to act in the referendum, go out to vote, or, not go out and boycott.
