“Le Monde” publishes map: So it looks like Kosovo after Thaci's correction

French newspaper “Le Monde” is paying much attention to the possible correction of the Kosovo-Serbia border, saying the Western Balkans border re-evaluation project is being presented as a solution to stability after 20 years of frozen conflicts between the two countries.

Through two published articles on this topic, “Le Monde” says residents of these two areas fear “ethnic cleansing”.

And in one of the articles, “Le Mond” has also provided the explanation of French geographer Michel Foucher. According to him, the “borders are unregulated from the point of view of international law, but not invulnerable if both sides reach a” agreement.

Faucher has given examples of the German union after the fall of the Berlin Wall.

“Midis 1989 and 1992 in Europe, including Ukraine and Belarus ), were founded 22 new borders, length 11,149 km”, he said.

This paper has also published a map of Kosovo, how the new borders between Kosovo and Serbia would look like.

The map is associated with the inscription: “Mydis Kosovo and Serbia, ethnic mosaics, main infrastructure and cultural buildings are obstacles to the new border demarcation project”.

According to this map, Serbian municipalities : Leposaviqi, Zvecani, Zubin Potok and Mitrovica would cross with Serbia, while Kosovo would join Presevo Valley: I promised, Bujanocy and Medveja.
