LDK's '%s' mission

In May of last year, the government led by Isa Mustafa had collapsed because of the no-confidence motion. No-confidence motion for LDK governance along with coalition partners The PDK, the Serbian List and parties of non-Serb communities had initiated the Social Democrat Initiative, which this motion had also received PDK support.
The Kosovo Assembly had backed it by 78 votes for the opposition motion to overthrow the government, 34 MPs had voted against and 3 had abstained.
But after new elections, the Kosovo Assembly, The LDK found him in the opposition.
And as the opposition, the LDK has repeatedly voiced <x0-actionary”, towards Ramush Haradinaj's leadership, boycotting the hearings, and now also preparing the motion for collapse of the government.
The LDK Parliamentary Group, at the last meeting on 24 September, has discussed the idea of the motion for the government's collapse.
Agim Veliu, the party's deputy chairman, said GP has agreed to work towards the decision to take the country to the polls.
The “is a good mood for all LDK mechanisms to work together towards the collapse of the government as soon as possible. Let's prepare a motion as soon as possible and take the place to elections. The country is in political and institutional crisis”, Veliu had said.
While LDK statements for no-confidence motion are not being taken seriously by connoisseurs.
Albert Krasniqi, from the Kosovo Democratic Institute, has told KALLXO.com that the Assembly is blocked and is unable to make decisions because the ruling parties do not have the votes needed to fulfill their agenda.
As for the LDK motion, Krasniqi said this motion is looking more like an election campaign language than an attempt to overthrow the government.
“The LDK is not looking too serious because the statements are now and as long as the LDK is in a bid for a motion. Without giving up this motion and without being put to the polls, it is looking more like an election campaign language than a serious attempt to overthrow the government”, Krasniqi said.
According to Krasniqi, the only way to get elections is through a vote by MPs with 2/3 of the votes to disseminate the decision by consensus from all political parties or by motion if a part of the ruling coalition happens to back the opposition motion.
But, as for the motion, Krasniqi is not sure enough votes will be made for the collapse of the government.
The motion could be handed over by 40 MPs, but it doesn't seem to have support from other opposition parties in the first place. We are seeing that the PSD and the Alternative have participated in the Assembly hearings and are not ready even as the political party to go to the elections at this time because their internal consolidation and extension are under way in other municipalities”, Krasniqi added, saying this makes it difficult to pass the motion to the Parliament.
According to him, political parties must jointly co-ordinate for the election date and vote for the distribution of the Assembly.
The regulation of the Kosovo Republic Assembly stipulates that the no-confidence motion for the prime minister could deal with the signing of 40 Parliament deputies.
The no-confidence motion, signed by at least one-third (1/3), by 40 deputies respectively, is accepted when the majority of all Parliament deputies vote for it. The motion of disbelief is put on the agenda, not later than five (5) days, and no later than two (2) days from the day of its prediction. If the no-confidence motion is voted for the Government as a whole, the government is considered in resignations. In the meantime, if the no-confidence motion fails, another no-confidence motion could only be put forward after ninety (90) the coming days” is said to be in the Parliament's regulation.
In addition to the LDK's initiative for no-confidence motion, the LDK during this mandate had tried to sack ministers of the Haradinaj government, but without success.
In September last year, Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development Minister Nenad Ricalo was charged by residents of the Dardania neighbourhood in Pristina for mistreating them during 1999.
The motion initiated by the LDK, on 3 October last year for the dismissal of Minister Ricalo, did not receive support from Kosovo's Parliament deputies, where 27 MPs had voted in favour, 40 against and one abstained.
And the other attraction was for Deputy Prime Minister, at the same time Diaspore Minister Dardan Gashi, who in a video published on social networks, was seen shooting at an environment attended by other state officials.
With 36 votes for, 49 against and 3 abstentions, the Parliament had not approved the motion proposed by the LDK to dismiss Deputy Prime Minister Dardan Gashi.
