KSF Commander: Army takes place within months

Rama has said it is already in the hands of the Parliament when the KSF will be transformed into the military.

And when asked about the exact date of the army's formation, Rama has said that this will happen in the coming months.

This has already been prosecuted by parliament. They have their own rules. Within months, because there is procedure. Army and KSF will be done without me and the minister. This is a non-stop process. We're in this process, we're in the first phase of”, Rama said at tT7.

Rama has said that the KSF, which is expected to become an army, will contribute to stability and peace in the region.

“It's not about that issue, because the competencies that will be granted under the law. There's no point in stopping. It is important that these laws be adopted. We're a stable institution but we're also in the region. We'll work with everyone. Including internationals and locals”, the KSF commander has added.

According to him, this whole process of transforming the KSF into the army is transparent.

No items have been hidden. Our main goal is to be part of Euro-Atlantic structures”, he said.

As far as the US Embassy's response to the transformation of KSF into the military is concerned, Rama says they are not doing so in themselves, and stresses that throughout the KSF's trip they have consulted NATO.
