Deputy Minister of Peace Shkodra has thanked the Emirates for assisting Kosovo refugees and for post-war assistance through their contingent within KFOR and other aid.
During this meeting, Shkodra stressed that Kosovo's membership process in international security organisations is in the interest of international organisations, member states and particularly Kosovo.
Kosovo's <x0) membership in security organisations, particularly in INTERPOL membership, is a top priority of MPB, which would enable Kosovo to contribute to regional and global security, becoming an active part in exchanging information for criminal groups”, he said, stressing that Kosovo police is one of the most professional police forces in the region and has full capacity for international co-operation.
During this visit, the Kosovo delegation met the group, which is responsible for organising the INTERPOL General Assembly, held in Dubai in November of this year.
The delegation from Kosovo was also hosted at the Abu Dhabi Police Academy and Dubai, where they were notified of their work and organisation.
The two sides agreed to begin concrete co-operation in the area of professional preparation for new police and police co-operation in other areas.
The delegation from Kosovo paid tribute to the memorial “Waht Al Karama” the memorial of the war to honour the soldiers of the Emirates who lost their lives in foreign missions, among them honored the hero who lost his life in 2001 in Kosovo, during his service as a member of the EBA forces under KFOR.
