KMDLNj monitors have visited deputy Shkumbin Demaliyaaj, who is being held at a 48-hour police ban at the Banting Centre in Pristina today.
According to KMDLNJ's announcement, demalij has told observers that he was invited by police by phone the day before to go to the police station and has been notified of the reason for the call.
“During his stay at the Banning Centre has been announced with all the rights they are entitled to and said there is no remarks on the conduct of the informed staff, neither during interrogation, nor policemen who have transported it, nor those of the Centre of Banning. He claimed that during his statement to the investigative police in the end he signed the chip but did not receive a copy of it. He was ordered to stop. The detainee Demalijaj hired his attorney to represent him. He has indicated that there are no health problems, since he has also been asked by the Centre for Prevention officers. KMDLNI finds that during the arrest, interrogation and detention at the Banning Centre, Mr. Demalija has been respected the first legal rights for persons deprived of freedom”, KMDLNJ reports.
KMDLNj requires that the prison arrest measure be pronounced only as extreme and when all other measures are exhausted and not converted into routine and misused for political or other purposes.
“KMDLNj requires that no double standards be used during the pronunciation of arrest measures and, primarily, the risk of a public statement or media interview. KMDLNj is against the threat posed to Kosovo citizens, whether of institutional posts or citizens, so here you see the use of dual standards because there are many cases when threats against Kosovo citizens have fatally ended because no preventive measures were taken against those who have threatened”, the statement said.
To KMDLNj is completely unacceptable, illegal, and punishable by the threat posed to the State Prosecutor by protesters seeking to cancel the indictment of fraud veterans by extending until October 8th to relevant institutions.
“Procurory and Judiciary should do their job without subjecting themselves to any possible political influence or threat as if the State Prosecutor should begin investigations into those who manipulated with lists by putting the true KLA veterans and fraud veterans on the list, insulting them and their families and subjecting them to a public lynching”, the statement said.
