KLA OVL seeks re-evaluation of the entire war veterans process

The KLA veterans' organisation through a media communique has reacted to publishing several lists accused of being fake veterans. “The KLA War Veterans' Organization cannot be reconciled with publishing from the media on the list of fake veterans drafted by [...]

The NLA Veterans' Association cannot agree with the media's publication of the lists of fake veterans drawn up by the Special Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Kosovo, which has not only been published in opposition to law and professional ethics, but it has recorded a huge number of veterans proven to war who have been put on the list without any criterion. This suggests that, in the case of the prosecution, no professional work has been done, even bypassing the Law“itself, the war veterans' response reported.

According to them, this accusation that has emerged from this investigation with a list of over 19 thousand false veterans, which is in fact evidence that it contains many concessions, cannot lead the process to the end because from the very beginning it has composed the process.

The Kosovo Liberation Army Veterans' Organisation, therefore, calls on the Government of the Republic of Kosovo to begin re-evaluating the whole process through a Commission that will work on the precise criteria defined by the KLA War Veterans Law. This would be less costly, and the prosecution will be released in its work“, said in response.

The KLA's OVL also asks Kosovo Special Prosecutor to clarify the opinion of how it came to draft and publish it in public media.
