Their last leader, Abu Saad Erhab, has been killed by US air strikes a week ago, becoming the fourth leader of the Islamic State to be killed in Afghanistan in recent years.
Thousands of foreign fighters are believed to have arrived in Afghanistan after being expelled from Iraq and Syria, but the British Defence Minister suggested the group is more consolidated than previously thought.
